Do you believe money is a measurement of success?  The answer may depend on what money means to you and your beliefs and values.  Regardless of your income, we believe the way you manage your money measures how you spend, save, invest and/or give.

Before the economic meltdown occurred, some of us expended money and now have regrets which we affectionately define as Lessons Learned.  There are thousands of guidance, educational, instructional, and learning resources available including books, magazines, TV networks, experts, and websites to tell you what to do, how to do it, when to do it, what to buy, and where to find it.  Our goal is simple– to help you achieve your goals, reduce stress, and save time and money by learning what not to do when it comes to money matters.

The timing has never been better and the need has never been greater to learn and share real-life Lessons Learned.  The world’s financial crisis, devastating floods and fires, record high foreclosures and job losses, and deteriorating infrastructure have exacerbated even the smallest mistakes we make.  Having a resource to learn what not to do during good times and bad can have a very positive impact on how we handle situations in the future and the outcome.  Also, we believe one of the best ways to overcome a mistake is by helping others avoid them.

To our Readers– regardless of our age, we all make promises to never make the same mistake twice.  But as time progresses, we can’t remember all of the things we’d never do again– until it’s too late.  We have a solution for you– a platform to document, learn, and share real-life Lessons Learned.  Knowing what not to do can be a useful aid when faced with or thinking abut a decision, task, idea, or problem.

To our Contributors– what a great feeling to know we’ve made a positive impact on someone else’s life.  We are changing the way we take action and make decisions by first learning what not to do and aiming to avoid our past mistakes.  If you have previously contributed a Lesson Learned– we thank you.  If you are new to our site and want to post simply,
